I have returned
Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 7:25PM I was sitting at Denny's, enjoying a cup of coffee, when I came to realize that I have not written in my Live Journal for some time now. So here I am. At Denny's, it seems as if Pam the server is the only person working the entire restaurant. She must make some mad cash. Anyways, I had a taste for some ice cream, but didn't want to commit to an elaborate dessert. So I asked Pam if I could just get a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Alex said that she wouldn't do it, but I thought otherwise. Not only did she bring it to me in a jiffy, I also got it for free. Nice tip for Pam tonight.
I won't go into great detail about the last eight months unaccounted for, but here are some key events:
-Having the worst hangover of my entire life after my WQAD farewell party
-moving into an apartment in Lindenhurst with Colleen (she has a lot of stuff)
-a Dan and Colleen 1 year anniversary
-road tripping with Alex to Seattle to help Tom move out there
-Freund proposing to Angela at a Cubs game
-a not so good Blink-182 show
-the unleashing of DanHeuser.com version 2.0
-Sam showing up at our housewarming party with the most giantic bag of movie theatre popcorn known to man
-getting a harmonica for my birthday (which I still have yet to learn)
-Geo getting married (me, Colleen, Freund and Angela dominating the dance floor with favorites such as the fishing pole dance)
-A cold and somewhat rainy camping trip
-Me and Colleen as Thing #1 and Thing #2 for Halloween
-meeting Colleen's extended family at Thanksgiving
-a random baking of cookies with Dave Walker at 3am in his tiny Madison apartment
-a family visit marathon on Christmas Eve and Day (between mine and Colleen's family)
-a New Years Eve at the Holiday Inn, Gurnee
-24, Season 4
-Bowling for Soup and Riddlin Kids at the Rave in Milwaukee
-Lord of the Rings, Extended edition marathon with Freund. I hauled my reclining chair over to his house for the 12+ hour event.
As for the job situation, Colleen still remains as an ASM at the Antioch Blockbuster. I really wish she would get her own store. It would make her so happy. My job situation isn't much better. When I moved back here, I started working back at Papa Johns. My plan was to work there a couple months at the most until I found another job. It now is over 8 months and I am still there. It's been really hard for me to find a job. I've had several interviews, but have not been hired. I am currently awaiting a response from a job at Comcast which I interviewed for a month ago. I really really want this job. I can't stand waiting. I need to go somewhere with my career, and as of now I am going nowhere. Actually, it feels like I am going backwards.
That is all for now, I'll try to post up here once a month, at the very least.
