Senior Citizens get messy
Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 3:14PM Today at work, the group of senior citizens that comes in every Tuesday did a food related show. Their guest was this lady from an Italian bakery. She brought all kinds of breads, cakes, cookies and pastries. They neatly displayed everything on tables in the studio for their show. All was well until after the show when everyone wanted dibs on the food. Just picture about 15 senior citizens yapping and grabbing for giant loaves of Italian bread. They were all getting on my nerves, so I holed myself up in the playback room to work on the bulletin board so I could be away from all of them. Finally, they all left, but there was a problem. They left my studio a complete disaster. Here's a list of what I found:
-At least 5 partially drank cups of water on the table in the lobby, and in the studio.
-A Diet Coke can stashed behind a monitor in the control room, which I removed earlier in the afternoon, but somehow made it's way back to the same location
-A cheesecake stashed in the fridge which toppled out and onto the floor upside down when I opened the door
-A platter with half eaten pieces of cake on it
-The box of plastic-ware still sitting open in front of the coffee maker
-A cake box on the floor
-Crumbs all over the audio board and the desk area next to the audio board
-Crumbs on the floor...everywhere in general
-Also left here was a box of platters and baskets belonging to the bakery which really should have been their responsibility to get back to them, not my responsibility
-Also, Joyce left her Senior Producers file folder here as well
As you may imagine, I was not too happy that I had to clean up after them. So I sent all of them an email which included the list from above. Freakin slobs, I should write their asses up.
