The Comcast Holiday Party was this past weekend. A little late in the season to be called a "holiday party", but still fun nonetheless. I had my choice of 4 different parties to attend. There was one for the North, West, South and Regional. And all of my co-workers were kinda split up, all going to different parties. So I had to choose which one would be the most happening party. It was kinda ridiculous. I wish they just had one big one. I ended up choosing the South, which was actually held in Merrilville, IN. It was actually quite a formal event. I wore my suit, which I only get to wear twice a year at best. Colleen's outfit changed several times. The first time because her shoes hurt. The second time because she was too cold. Luckily, we got a room at the hotel, so it was convenient to walk back to the room and change. The night started off with a large and tasty buffet. A band played on stage as we were eating. We used up our free drink tickets and then got some drinks compliments of my boss' boss. After some socializing, me and Colleen headed downstairs. We realized that there was a completely separate ballroom which was playing dance/hip-hop music. Colleen got into dancing mode and we danced for a while. We went back to our hotel room, Colleen laid down for a while and I went to check out the after party in the hotel room of one of our engineers, Dan Lee. There were about 8 people there, at least 1/2 of them wasted. You can tell that very easily when you see a forty-five year old man jumping up and down on the bed like a monkey. I also joined the wasted group after 2 tequila shots were forced upon me. Gladly, Colleen decided to join us. After Dan Lee puked, it was about time to call it a night. The South party was definitely the way to go.
