In the news, you hear about murders all the time. In Iraq, on the South Side of Chicago, etc. But last week, it hit a little too close to home. At the Burger King a block away from our apartment, the morning manager was murdered for money. The news crews have been swarming around it all week. You would never expect something like this in Lindenhurst. But it proves that bad things can happen anywhere.

The guy was caught a few days ago. They said that he was a former Burger King employee and might have had a key to the building, which is how he got in. He lived a mile down the road, in an apartment complex in Lake Villa. I may have delivered a pizza to this shit bag at one point in time.

Well, now 1 man loses his wife and 3 kids lose their mom, all because some cracked out mother fucker needed a few hundred dollars. The thing that baffles me is that this guy was on trial for murdering an entire family of 4 back in the 80's. But they let him off on some bullshit technicalities like "the police wrongfully searched his apartment" and "he was mistreated while in police custody". He confessed to that murder in the 80's, there was substantial evidence connecting him to it, but he was let go. They should have slit his throat back in the 80's, then the world would have been a better place today.
